At this moment we are very busy to renovate the old fäbod. We are building good toilets and showers. The planning is to place Stuga 2 in spring 2008. From may/June 2008 we hope to be able to welcome the first guests.

Selsbuan is an original fäbod. It was the spot where the great-grandparents of Örjan Wiklund built a summer farm. That was approximately 1890. Here the cows and horses were kept in the summer. They lived there the complete summer period. The actual farm stood and stands still near the river the Indalsälven, approximately 6.5 kilometres further. They walk then with the animals upon the road from the big farm to the fäbod.  In the winter the men in Selsbuan lived with the horses and worked in the forest for sawing the trees. The horses drew the sawn down trees from the forest to the river Indalsälven. The horses were stabled in the barn. The last dozens of years Selsbuan was used  by moosehunters.rendeer

The furnishing of Selsbuan is kept as much as possible in the original state. It radiates the ambiance of rest and simplicity. You still live almost  such as in former days. If the days shorten and it becomes colder outside, it is possible to get it comfortable  and warm using a real stove. There is a small kitchen with the necessary supplies. In Selsbuan 5 people can stay.

Lillstuga Lillstuga was build approximately ten years ago. It is an one chamber stuga and the position is slantwise behind Selsbuan. These stuga also have a small kitchen and a stove and have four beds. The furnishing of this stuga is also kept formal to preserve the ambiance of the former days.
